and this is...?

hey everyone...

it's 1:40, and i'm here with Luis at the San Jose Museum of Technology. we got to the Amtrak Station in Emeryville an hour and a half EARLY! lol. and i had to wake up at 6 a. in the freaking m. ... but it's cool. we got to sit and talk for a while, then crossed over the trax to the Barnes and Noble at the Emeryville Market. train was a little late, arriving finally at 10:40 or so, and we got to San Jose down unfamiliar East Bay backroutes and even through some interesting marshy inlets along the southernmost point of the Bay. Luis is trying to log on to his weblog on some other cyberterminal but isn't having much luck. lol.

well, pictures later this evening. hope you're having as fun and interesting a Saturday as we are. ciao!

8:15 p.m. update...

luis and i at the sj tech museum:

randomish notes on perusing other weblogs...

uh-uh, Kati... wrong. others read your weblog too: just because i link to it from here... i.e., 'weblog central' ^_^ now, why do i say 'this' is weblog central? well, southbay gal, for the simple reason that my weblog list is by far the most complete -- and most accurate -- of all you guys' weblogs. heh. (some of you do need to update your weblog URLs, as they are stale and date back to this summer still.)

but don't take that as a suggestion for you to make your lists as numbingly complete. i like the fact that some of you construct your "reads" lists precisely based on whose weblogs you DO read on a regular basis -- it tells me what interests you, though it also informs me that you may be missing out on some other cool weblogs which you don't list. as for me, well yes, i do read all those weblogs listed, quite faithfully indeed. even the so-called "silences." and that's why i do these "go read these awesome weblogs" lists from time to time... just so you won't miss some cool stuff. for example:

  • Evi likes the rain this way... whereas Abe likes it like this.
  • another intense Bigi weblog on the conflicted and strange feelings of teenagers. or lack thereof.
  • Bigi's friend Jerry on life upstream
  • these kids go to private or parochial schools. their grades:
    • Ozzie -- University High harder than Lowell? ;-)
    • Kati -- uh, you're taking an INTRO TO COMPUTING (Internet) course, Miss T.A.?!?
  • Trev's 101 reasons why the new Limp Bizkit CD sux...
  • why Laura is going to be a really cool teacher...

and if you haven't read my subtle knife weblog yet... go and do so. or re-read it, if you will (pun def. intended)... it's one of the more curious things I've written lately. O_o

last note for the day: here's Luis looking pensively out the Amtrak train window:
