friday filaments
[update: 6 a.m. Saturday...]
good luck to all taking the PSAT today: Kass, Spark, Ozzie, et al.: hope you have your wits around you early on a weekend morning ^_^
felicitous weblogs to read:
written late Friday evening:
didn't get to continue yesterday's weblog, as i had planned, as 2 things happened during the day to derail my usual schedule: (1) got the serial # for the Manila weblog server software, as our School's business office had faxed Frontier Userland the purchase order earlier in the week. here's the first barebones test of a weblog served up by ATDP. server's not ready for primetime yet, as i have to completely figure out the sysadmin stuff behind it. so, you can't create weblogs via ATDP yet, even if you're smart enough to find out where to go. ;-) (2) Ozzie came by for a visit! hadn't seen him since the summer, so that was way cool. here's his description of what we did...
i will still be writing about what happened last Wednesday, though, as the confluence of events that day had a certain eerie irony, both in real life, and in the literature i happen to be reading right now. but it's too late to write right now, as i have to go home and get some sleep. i'm rising up early on Sat. morning to make it to SF at 8:15... where i'll be meeting up with David and Daniel (whose mom Angela has a class at UCSF), and from there we're gonna make our way over to the SF Zoo, where Trev works on most Saturdays, perhaps to see him intone: This is a common green iguana... to the watching public.
but for now, here's a pic from Wednesday, at La Taq. that's Anna, me and Jorge. and the camera-shy boy with the spiky orange hair is taking the picture:
