2 a.m. Aaron's back...

read his weblog. ... come here to see rat pix? ;-) click on Nikolai... or on his ratlog. and, for an artist's rendition of Nikolai and me, check out "two rats," an utterly charming drawing/painting by my friend Laura. rat #1 is Nikolai, of course, who's currently busy reading Harry Potter, and rat #2 is yours truly, based on my position in the Chinese zodiac. what a wonnerful present, Laura! thanksgandantananat... ;-) (no, Kass these aren't misspellings or neologisms. they're Pittsburghian locutions. *chuckle*) as for the Harry Potter business, well, Laura knows i'm a huge fan, and she's now reading it as well. and we've obviously hooked Nikolai on it too. ^.^

Ozzie's back too, btw. he's 'survivor' on the weblog list there. wonder why? dangit, boy, haven't you heard of the notion of paragraphs?! goes for you too Sparky, though you've been good about it lately. ::smirks::

also, note the new 'adults' category there. Ben, Megan and Powazek, are pioneer webloggers, who've been doing it since serious weblogging began, about a year or so ago. they've come to define the essential weblogging 'style.' you can learn a lot about stuff just by reading their weblogs. Laura is a friend and colleague of mine at ATDP, who does wonderful artwork with pencil sketches and image editing on the computer. and Damien is, well, Damien. ;-) Kass' Damien. this category kinda begs the question though... IS there such a thing as an 'adult' weblog? should there be a distinction? interesting comments/flames will be posted here. (btw, Damien thought that i 'misclicked' and should have put him along with the rats. *chuckle*.)

speaking of which, Grim and Hef's weblogs are probably dead as dodoes. as for Bean's, it all depends on his survival out in the wilds of Trev's backyard (his new home is a composting pile. par for the course for a rat? stay tuned. see Trev's story 'bout it. still, i hope Trev somehow maintains them (or at least gives me or anyone else editor privileges on those, for those moments when role-playing a rat proves mildly interesting, or when creative procrastination in the face of a paper or report deadline is required. heh).
