hahaha. funny, guys. i knew something was up when i asked Tom to log me off of Manila before he launched into Quakespace, and then as i walked away heard the tippity-tappity of a keyboard, and some guilty giggling and snickering.

anyway, week 2 of ATDP ends, and as i watch the kids troop out of the lab at 4:30, my heart expands again, to fill the universe i know and sense. and this is because i see myself in them, always, as a young kid learning things about life and myself, in ways that captivate and cause joy. they are lighter now, now that they know the contours of this space we inhabit for these six weeks. something familiar begins to settle, the rhythms of our afternoons like a cosmic lullabye...
