well, July...

...is at hand. What does the month bode?

I once had a classmate in early high school named Julius Escuadro, in whom I first saw what brilliance was. He was the one I secretly compared myself to, and who I admired.

There was a boy named Juliano Panganiban, a neighbor of ours in downtown Davao City, who was an upperclassman in high school when I was a freshman. He was legendary for many things, not least of which was his physical charm.

Juliana Baldo taught a Functional Neuroanatomy class at ATDP, and I had a mild crush on her, which doubtless she never suspected. ;-) She worked at the Center for Aphasia and Related Disorders, somewhere in northern California, and my internal disarray whenever she appeared was, I hoped, subtle.

Julius Cesar was murdered ignobly, but the act will always be remembered in history, as will he and Brutus.

There was a student named Julian Lloyd in ATDP, back in the late '90s.

There was a girl named Julia, whose last name I have forgotten... but not her hair, nor her eyes, nor her mouth. She was the lover of a girl who lived in my Bohemian house my second year living in Berkeley.

Juliana Friend is the name of a student in ATDP, in Pepe's Murder and Magisteria class in 2004.

It is now July. What does the month have in store, o ye jejune junipers?
